Michigan State Trunkline Highway System
|
M-151 was a state trunkline highway in the US state of Michigan. Two routes carried this designation. The first was a connector route from US 112 to Niles along the routing of today's US 12. The second traveled from US 223 to US 25 in southern Monroe County.[2]

M-151 began on Saint Anthony Road at a junction with US 223 just north of Ottawa Lake. The route passed through rural areas as it traveled east towards Monroe. About five miles (8 km) prior to its junction with US 23, the road jogged to the north onto Secor before returning to the east on Samaria Road. The road passed through the small community of Samaria before junctioning with US 23. Just a few miles afterwards the road intersected US 24 before terminating about a half mile later at a junction with US 25.[3]
M-151 was added to the state trunkline system in 1931. At that time, the road served as a connector between Niles and US 112. The eastern terminus of this segment was at the present day junction of US 12 and Old M-205. In 1935, the designation was removed from this alignment and shifted to a new one between US 223 and US 25 in the southeastern portion of the state. The route continued in this capacity until 1965 when all of the road east of US 23 was turned back to local control, and the remaining portion was consumed by a new routing of US 223. The designation has not been used since this time.[2] Locally, even though it is no longer part of the state highway system, the road is still referred to as "M-151."
The entire highway was in Monroe County.
